Weston on Trent

Small parish and village, 2 miles from Aston. One mile hence is Dunnington park, the seat of the late Marquis of Hastings. Close to the River Trent, this small village has long had connections with the use of canals for the transportation of goods since the 18th century. Weston Hall is a Tudor building that has its own moat, which is quite rare in Britain for a private house.
