15/05/08 - Annual General Meeting of the NAEA

Chris Brown voted in as Senior Vice President

At the annual general meeting of the National Association of Estate Agents held at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London’s West End, Chris Brown was voted in as the Senior Vice President of the Association and will become President in the year 2008 / 2009.  Chris is seen shaking hands with the incoming President, Charles Smales, of Harrogate who, like Chris, has been a member of the Association since the late 1960’s.

This is a terrifically interesting and challenging time for Estate Agents in England and Wales as we now have to contend with the Housing Act making Home Information Packs compulsory from 1st June 2007" says Chris.  He continued "The AGM was followed by the National Congress where there was a wide ranging and thorough debate about the implementation of HIPS and in the evening the presidential ball also hosted the awards evening for the students and award winners for the Association".

Chris sits as Chairman of the communications, marketing and promotional services committee of the Association and is also Chairman of the residential working party which leaves him at the cutting edge of any forthcoming news and legislation about to affect the property market.  Obviously a meeting in London is always useful to any estate agent and Chris found the time to network with agents from all over the Country to profile with them and put Derby very firmly in their thought process and moving house agenda.

Boxall Brown & Jones wish Chris all of the best in his National work and feel that this can only benefit the practice.
